Optimization and Internal Flow Analysis of Inlet and Outlet Horn of Integrated Pump Gate

In order to improve the hydraulic performance of integrated pump gate, flow pattern inlet and outlet gate is improved. This paper adopts SST k-ω turbulence model numerically calculate initial scheme verifies its internal through experiments, then adds optimizes design horn pipes orthogonal optimization. The research results conclude that significantly improved after adding horn. Under condition (Qd = 11.5 L/s), efficiency increased from 60.50% 67.19%, head 2.7569 m 3.1178 m, loss in channel decreased 0.064 0.027 1.337 1.027 m. optimized trumpet pipe can conditions while weakening vortices channel, thus improving safety gate. this are reference value for similar projects.
